Life is structured in a way that makes it easy for us to avoid movement. We sit at home to relax. We sit to eat. We sit in cars on the way to work. We get to work and sit at our desks for 8 hours straight. Then we get back in the car and sit on the way home. We then get out of the car and sit down to relax again. Yeah in know! Thats a lot of sitting, not enough moving!

At Integrated Bodies, our focus is to educate you on the importance of health and wellness through exercise and nutrition and how it can affect our daily actions including our food choices, eating behaviours, recovery, life skills, mindset/psychology and environment. We move our bodies when we want to express our wants, needs, emotions, thoughts, and ideas. Obviously, we are not here to get you to the next Olympic Games. But, How well we move determines how well we engage with the world and the people around us and establish our larger purpose in life.

If you move well, you also think, feel, and live well.

It’s proven that healthy movement helps us:

  • Feel well, physically and emotionally

  • Function productively

  • Think, learn, and remember

  • Interact with the world

  • Communicate and express ourselves

  • Connect and build relationships with others

Lets face it! We all live busy lifestyles, have a family commitments and a host of other things that can get in the way of life. This makes it hard! But the most important step you need to take towards changing your habits is to make time. If you can't make time to prioritise your health and fitness, it will never happen. Nutrition - What's involved?

At Integrated Bodies, we are focused on introducing you to the fundamental skills that help create habits that make health, wellness and overall fitness far more achievable and sustainable. Instead of using a diet-based approach, we focus on using a habit-based approach. So instead of handing you a blueprint with what to eat, when to eat and how much to eat and send you on your way for the 6 weeks. We are going to introduce you to the fundamental skills of good nutrition and help you put them into practice to improve your daily food choices, eating behaviours, exercise and activity, life skills, mindset and environment.


IB Fitness Classes - What’s Involved?

At Integrated Bodies, we believe in a balanced combination of all types of human movement whether that includes swinging kettlebells, lifting barbells, rolling, jumping, running, throwing, crawling, squatting, carrying and climbing! All of this in a balanced and structured program that covers strength, cardiovascular conditioning, mobility, stability and prehab protocols.

We will be educating you how to keep your body running smoothly as we tame the beast that is pain and injury, dysfunction and compensation.

At IB we've created four styles of classes emphasize one method of training for that particular session.

These four classes are:

  • IKB - Integrated Kettlebell Class

  • IBB - Integrated Barbell Class

  • IHM - Integrated Human Movment Class

  • IBT - Integrated Boxing Training (Wednesdays Only)

Each day we will do one particular type of class. So for example, a typical week could look like: Monday IKB, Tuesday IBB, Wednesday IBT, Thursday IHM and Friday would be back to IKB. Each specific type of class is programmed to build onto the next. We believe in developing strength, mobility, stability and conditioning should be built in a development thread. Babies don't learn to walk first before they crawl, so we don't expect our members to be able to through loads of weight over head before you master the fundamentals first.

Class Structure:

Warm Up - We use a combination of dynamic movements from the primal fitness community, yoga, pilates and structured strength and conditioning to warm your body up specifically for the days class.

Strength - Depending on which part of the program we are at we will spend upwards of 15-30mins doing strength specific exercises.

Conditioning - Depending on which part of the program we are at (Barbells, Kettlebells or Human Movement) we will spend upwards of 10-20mins attacking different elements and vectors of human movement.

Recover and Reset - In our recover and reset section we use reset exercises like rolling and breathing and also use this time to roll out any hot spots via the use of trigger balls, foam rollers and joint distraction.


Session Times:

Monday to Friday

  • 5:30am - 6:30am

  • 4:30pm - 5:30pm

  • 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Saturday

  • 7 am - 8 am

For the course of your corporate challenge, you have the ability to attend unlimited classes from Monday to Saturday, This will give you the option to pick and choose when to either come mornings or afternoons each week to work around your lifestyle schedule.
